Cookies & Tracking

Last updated: August 4, 2026

Short version: nothing third-party runs on this site until you choose to allow it. No analytics, no advertising tools, no pixels. If you have not answered the banner, or you rejected it, those tools were never loaded — not loaded-and-ignored, not loaded-without-cookies. Not loaded.

1. What is always on

One thing, and only after you answer: a cookie called bm_consent that stores what you chose, so we do not ask again on every page. It holds your choice, a version number and a timestamp. It is set by us, never sent to anyone else, and expires after 180 days so your consent stays a recent decision rather than something from two years ago.

If you use our chat assistant, it stores a conversation id and a visitor id in your browser so the conversation survives a page refresh. That is covered in our Privacy Policy.

2. What loads only if you allow it

Analytics

How people find and move through the site, so we know which pages actually help. Google Analytics.

Advertising

Lets us measure which ads bring people here, and show ads to people who have visited. Meta, TikTok, Taboola and similar.

Currently in use: Google Analytics 4 only, in the Analytics category. We have no advertising tags live on this site at the time of writing. The Advertising category exists because we expect to run ads, and we would rather the consent gate be built before the first pixel than bolted on after.

3. Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a rejection automatically. You will not see the banner at all, and nothing optional loads. You already answered; we are not going to ask again.

4. Changing your mind

Use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, or the link in the footer of any page. Turning something off reloads the page, because switching a tag off cannot un-fire one that already loaded, and we would rather reload than tell you something untrue.

5. We do not sell your data

We do not sell personal information for money. Some advertising tools, when enabled, count as “sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising” under California law, which is why the opt-out control exists regardless.
